ÂżPor quĂ© give up significa ârendirseâ si give es âdarâ y up es âarribaâ?

No memorices give up = rendirse; memoriza Iâll never give up.
Muchos admiten el objeto en medio â turn the lights off o turn off the lights â pero con pronombre, solo en medio: turn it off, nunca turn off it. Los que llevan preposiciĂłn (look after, look forward to) no se separan jamĂĄs.
FĂjate en las partĂculas. No es una ciencia exacta, pero hay tendencias: up suele indicar completar o aumentar (eat up, grow up), out descubrir o agotar (find out, run out), on continuar (carry on, go on).
Donât put it off â no lo dejes para mañana.
