Rescheduling, cancellations and no-shows
Plans change. Here's how Parlazo handles it so both you and your student are treated fairly.
Rescheduling
If you or your student needs a different time, use reschedule rather than cancelling and rebooking — it keeps the booking and payment intact and just moves the slot. Give as much notice as you can; last-minute changes are hard on students.
Cancellations
- A student who cancels within our policy window is refunded automatically, and no payout is due.
- If you have to cancel, do it as early as possible and let your student know. Frequent teacher cancellations hurt your standing in search — students rely on your calendar being real.
No-shows
- If a student doesn't turn up, wait a reasonable few minutes and try messaging them from the lesson.
- If they never join, don't simply mark the lesson done — follow the no-show guidance so it's recorded correctly and handled fairly for both sides.
Keeping your rating healthy
The teachers who rank well keep an accurate calendar, reschedule instead of cancelling, and communicate early. None of that is about gaming the system — it's just what reliable teaching looks like.
